Your Daughter Still
I wrote this as a personal song about faith, love, and being held through the years.
Still Becoming is my upcoming album. It has not been released yet, but I’m looking forward to sharing it with you soon.
I write songs about the things we carry, the people we miss, the faith that holds us, and the person we're still learning to be.
With Still Becoming, I'm sharing stories through music — honest, imperfect, and rooted in the moments that have shaped me.
I'll add listening links here as my music becomes available.

Some songs help me say what I couldn't find the words for. Here, I can share the lyrics and the meaning behind them.
I wrote this song to remind myself that God was there even on my worst days. Even when I couldn't feel Him, He was still there. He knew my name and even the number of hairs on my head. He is always working things for my good.
I wrote this because I often feel much older than I am. The trials I've faced made me grow up quickly, and I've sometimes felt like I've lived more life than my years could hold. This song carries the weight of that experience, but it also holds onto my faith that God can use my pain for good.
I wrote this song to honor my mom and remember the day she passed away. It reflects how much I've changed since I was sixteen and the woman I'm still becoming, while holding onto the truth that I'll always be her little girl.
I wrote this song with Matthew 6:25–34 in mind. It reminds me not to let worry take over my thoughts, because God knows what I need and promises to provide. As someone who struggles with anxiety, I need this reminder to bring every fear and unknown to Him, trust His faithfulness, and remember that my life is safe in His hands.
Inspired by Matthew 6:25–34.
I wrote this song to speak to my inner child — the little girl who felt lost, confused, and alone. I wanted to remind her that she was never too much or too broken, and that she doesn't have to carry everything by herself anymore. This is my promise to her that I’m here, I’m staying, and she is not alone.
I wrote this about how I still look for my mom, even all these years later. I'm learning how to live without her here, and I've built a life and learned to keep going, but that doesn't mean I don't still miss her. The song holds both truths: I'm learning to stand on my own, and I still wish she were here.
I wrote this to remind myself that, even with all my struggles and questions, I'm still a child of God. There have been times I've felt angry and haven't had the words to pray. This song reminds me that tears without words can be prayers, too, and that I can keep running to my Father even when I don't understand.
I wrote this about how God stayed beside me through my darkest days. Even when grief was taking over my life and I couldn't feel Him, He was still there. He didn't rush my healing or shame my pain; He stayed with me through every tear, every question, and every season when I couldn't find the words to pray.
I'm building this section one song at a time, and I'll add each lyric page as its final version is ready.
I created this artwork to give each song its own little world — each cover holding a memory, a prayer, or a piece of my story.
The inspiration of this song was to remind myself that God was there even on my worst days. Even when I couldn’t feel Him he was still there. He knew my name and the amount of hairs on my head. He is always working things for my good.
This song was written because I feel much older than I am. The trials I have faced caused me to grow up fast and I have always felt like I have lived more life than I actually have. This song talks about how heavy that weight is but also the faith I have in God that He will use my pain for good.

This song was written to speak to my inner child. It is a part of healing my inner child who felt lost and confused. I wanted to remind her that she wasn't alone.
This song was written because the world is moving so fast, and sometimes I just want to slow down. I've always felt like an old soul, and I hope to find someone who is also an old soul to slow down with.
This song is about still looking for my mom years later, learning to live without her while still hurting that she isn't here.
This song was written to talk about how i am still a child of God even though i have struggles. I have been angry with no words to say but sometimes tears with no words are prayers too.

I'm Morgan Swanwick. I write songs drawn from honest stories, quiet moments, and the things that stay with me.
My music lives somewhere between country storytelling and worship. I draw from my faith, loss, love, healing, and the everyday work of becoming.
I don't have every answer. These songs are pieces of my journey — and reminders to myself and anyone listening that even when life changes us, the story isn't over.
My songs are more than words set to music. They are pieces of the life I've lived, the people I've loved, the prayers I've prayed, and the things I'm still learning how to put into words.
Some of my earliest and most defining experiences came from watching someone I love fight a battle no family is ever prepared for. My mom was diagnosed with brain cancer when I was a little girl. For years, our lives revolved around hospital rooms, treatments, uncertainty, and holding on to hope. I grew up in the middle of it, helping care for her and learning what it meant to love someone through the hardest days.
When I lost my mom at sixteen, a part of my world changed forever. Grief became something I carried into every new season. There have been days when I've missed her in ways I couldn't explain, days when I've had to find my footing, and days when faith was the only thing I knew how to hold on to.
Those experiences shaped me, but they are not the only parts of my story. My songs also hold joy, friendship, love, growing pains, questions, and the hope that life can still be beautiful after it has been hard. Some songs are prayers. Some are conversations I wish I could still have. Some are reminders to myself that I'm still here, still healing, and still becoming.
I don't write because I have everything figured out. I write because sometimes a melody helps me say what ordinary words cannot. And if sharing these pieces of my story helps someone else feel seen, understood, or a little less alone, then I'm grateful I found the courage to share them.
Thank you for letting me share the stories behind the songs — and for bringing a little of your own story with you when you listen.
